The water district in Ventura County, California claims the actor illegally filled up water trucks at a public fire hydrant and then transported it back to his 60-acre ranch where he has an avocado farm, all while Southern California is dealing with a serious drought. Selleck's lawyer has met with the water district's lawyers to reach an agreement. Details of the settlement are being kept under wraps until it is approved by the water district board next week but reports speculate that the water district expects somewhere in the vicinity of $20,000 to settle up and of course Tom will have to stop taking water from the Ventura district.
