Police in Philadelphia are trying to nail a thief who got himself a manicure -- and then robbed the salon.
Cops have released a surveillance photo of the man who they say walked into the nail salon and sat down for a manicure. After he was done, and with his nails still wet (we presume), he pulled out a gun and grabbed money from one of the workers. He then took more cash from the register and ran out. No one was injured.

A Chinese woman who thought that a scratching noise she kept hearing in her ear was the work of an evil spirit, got some good news and some bad news after a visit to the doctor.
The good news is that there are no evil spirits in her ear. The bad news is that there was a spider living in there and it had made a pretty comfortable home for itself. 25-year-old Li Meng thinks the spider may have crawled inside her ear while she was hiking with her boyfriend. Regardless of how it got in there, it had been living in her ear canal for a while and had even woven a web. Doctors removed the spider, which was not an easy procedure. Apparently the little arachnid put up a fight and doctors needed anesthesia to subdue it.

A kindhearted 21-year-old woman who thought she was saving a turtle's life by dropping it into a pond had no idea that it was actually a tortoise and tortoises can't swim.
It's an honest mistake, right? Both have shells and look very similar. But animal rights activists have blasted her on social media, calling her stupid. The woman, whose name is Kimberly, videotaped herself holding the animal and said, "If anyone runs into a turtle, save it. Don't just leave it on the road." She then dropped it into a pond.
Kimberly says she's been crying ever since it happened and insists, "I never intended anyone to think I would kill an animal, or would ever do anything to harm an animal. I'm just sincerely and genuinely sorry." She also insists that the tortoise was able to walk out of the pond and was perfectly fine.

A Los Angeles woman says Chipotle screwed her when she ordered a meal earlier this week and almost broke a tooth.
The unnamed woman says she ordered a chicken and rice burrito bowl to go and was eating it when she suddenly bit down on something that "felt like a rock." She spit out her food and found a screw. She called the restaurant to complain about the hardware in her dinner and was told there was nothing they could do about it. So she took her complaint to the corporate office, which offered her an apology and 20 free meals.
