A Wisconsin woman couldn't work the latest technology at a grocery store, so she turned to an old-fashioned device for help -- smashing the manager over the head with the VCR she was carrying.
Cheryl Elkinton couldn't figure out how to use the self-checkout machine at the store, which prompted her to go ballistic, shouting obscenities and threatening a worker who came over to lend a hand. The manager, whose name was not released, went to check on the situation, but that didn't have any effect on Elkinton, who swung the machine and hit the woman in the head.
She then fled the store and got onto a city bus, but was stopped by cops a short distance away. Authorities could not explain why she was carrying the VCR in the first place.
