A Florida woman demanded that her pooch be arrested for causing a car accident.
Dogs may be man's best friend, but the reverse isn't always true -- as one Florida woman proved by demanding that her pooch be arrested for causing a car accident.
Cops were called to investigate after a car crashed into the side of an apartment building last weekend. They found 33-year-old Christina Anne Marie Lamoreaux dazed behind the wheel, smelling strongly of alcohol and appearing glassy-eyed. But she insisted she was not responsible for what happened. Instead, she blamed the whole mess on her dog, who she wanted taken into custody.
Lamoreaux refused to take a sobriety test and turned hostile when pressed. The dog went free, but she was arrested on charges of DUI, hit and run involving property damage and resisting arrest.

A Florida man ended up behind bars after dialing 911 to report that he'd been robbed -- by cops who took pot plants from his yard.
A Florida man ended up behind bars after dialing 911 to report that he'd been robbed -- by cops who confiscated more than 90 pot plants growing on land he owned.
When a neighbor called authorities to property owned by Boyd Gene Wiley, they found dozens of mature marijuana plants growing right out in the open. A team was brought in to tag and seize the crops, but they didn't know who the owner was until Wiley made an angry call to complain that his weed had been harvested.
Wiley insisted he had a waiver to grow pot for his own medicinal use, but no such records were found.
