A California man thought he could beat charges of stalking and sexual abuse by claiming that cops assaulted him. He even had the bruises to prove it. What he didn't have was the smarts to realize that the surveillance tape told a much different story.
33-year-old Aleksander Tomaszewski was arrested last month and thrown in a holding cell. Later, during an interview with detectives, he said he wanted to press charges against the officers who'd beaten him and left him bruised. That's when detectives informed him that the surveillance inside the cell showed him hitting himself in the face and causing his own bruises. Video shows him beating himself up like he was Edward Norton in Fight Club.
He was hit with an additional charge of initiating a false police report.
