Earlier this month, Luke Bryan was forced to wrap his 2015 Farm Tour with one show outstanding. He’d had to cancel his October 3 date in Columbia, South Carolina because of the massive flooding in the area. Now the show is back on, and he’s using it to help those affected by the devastation.
The show this Sunday at Colt Creek Farm in Pelion, South Carolina also will be accompanied by a drive to buy food and supplies for those working to pick up the pieces. Sponsor Red Gold Tomatoes has pledged to give $20,000 worth of tomatoes, with Luke’s other sponsors chipping in as well. You can also make a donation online to Harvest Hope Food Bank, the state’s largest.
And while we're talking about LB. You can now add Luke Bryan to your Thanksgiving Day schedule of TV watching. The CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year will kick off the Salvation Army’s 125th Red Kettle Campaign with a live performance from AT&T Stadium during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys game.
“As a football fan, I’m especially excited to be performing on Thanksgiving Day,” Luke says. “It’s also an honor to spotlight two great organizations like Dallas Cowboys and The Salvation Army and raise awareness for all the great work they do.” Running from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve, the holiday fundraiser provides meals and shelter for families, as well as Christmas toys for millions of kids.
Luke follows in the footsteps of superstars like Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood andReba, who’ve performed the turkey day honors in the past. The Cowboys take on the Carolina Panthers November 26, starting at 3:30 p.m. CT on CBS.

Though Brad Paisley remains the king of playing pranks on his tour mates, it looks like Luke Bryan may be following in his footsteps. During a recent two-day stop in Irvine, California, Luke was feeling a little under the weather, so he decided to cook up some chicken and rice soup outside his bus. He even tweeted apicture of his setup. That’s when he caught a glimpse of a shirtless Dustin Lynch doing a little sunbathing outside his bus.
“You know we’re out in the California sunshine and I’m like, man, it’s freezing cold and raining out in Tennessee. I’m gonna get out and get me a suntan before the CMA Awards and my number one party,” Dustin recalls. “And so I’m minding my own business in front of my bus and what I didn’t know was there was a trailer or something that was super shined up, so he could see my reflection in the back of this trailer. He was on the other side of his bus cooking soup.”
Even though Dustin was minding his own business, Luke wasn’t. He’d already shared Dustin’s beefcakephoto with the world.
“I’m just laying out getting my suntan on, taking a little nap and I hear something to the left,” Dustin says. “Then I hear right behind me, and I’m like somebody’s about to pull my armpit hair or something so I jerk around and [Luke]’s filming me. And then he goes, ‘Hey I just tweeted a picture of you’ and I’m going, ‘God that’s the last thing we need out there you know is an unapproved shirtless picture!’” he laughs.
Since he’s obviously been working out, the “Hell of a Night” hitmaker didn’t seem to mind too much, telling the story as he celebrated the success of his latest number one. But Dustin vows to get his revenge.
“That’s just him. He loves picking on me. He does it every night onstage. And there will be retaliation. Stay tuned. Stay tuned,” he laughs.
Dustin will have plenty of chances. After he and Luke wrap the Kick the Dust Up Tour this week with shows in Chicago and Detroit, he heads back out with the Entertainer of the Year on his 2016 Kill the Lights Tour.

Saturday night, Jason Aldean wrapped up his Burn It Down Tour in West Palm Beach by presenting a check for more than $615,000 to Susan G. Komen South Florida. He raised the money by donating a portion of the ticket price from each of the more than two million seats he sold on this year’s trek.
“I know first-hand how important it is to find a cure for breast cancer,” Jason says, recalling the friend he lost to the disease in 2004 at the age of 29. “So, looking out from stage Saturday night at a sea of pink was a pretty cool way to end the tour. For ten years now the fans have been helping us support Komen and I know we’re going to keep it up until nobody has to fight the disease anymore.”
The Burn It Down Tour saw Jason become the first-ever country performer to headline at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. He heads out on the We Were Here Tour January 15 with Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses.
