Florida cops went after a Boynton Beach man for trying to break into the used car biz -- by stealing an auto from a man's driveway, then attempting to sell it back to him.
Tom Funicello woke up one day last month to find his car missing, so he rang up cops to report the theft. After two weeks, they had no luck finding it. Just when he'd given up hope, he got a call from Marquis Whipple, who offered to sell the stolen car back to him for $200.
Funicello agreed -- then called cops, who met Whipple and arrested him for auto theft. The suspect insisted he simply bought the car, not knowing it was used, and wanted to unload it in a hurry.
