Two shoplifting moms in Florida recently made off with nearly $500 worth of food and other items from a supermarket, but they left something very important behind -- their kids.
Police say 31-year-old Jessica Barker and 25-year-old Kristen Grodetz ran out of the store with the merchandise and a three-year-old, but left behind two 11-year-old girls. A store employee told cops that the women told him they'd be right back for the kids, but never returned. Officers called one of the women after the girls gave them a phone number and were told they would return to the store to pick up the girl, but they are still on the lam.
The girls were placed in the care of the the Department of Children and Family Services. Barker and Grodetz have yet to be arrested, but when they are they will be charged with grand theft, child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of minors.
