Animal-rights protestors put a Spanish woman in a really fowl mood by disrupting an annual bird chase in her hometown, so she took matters into her own hands -- by grabbing a live duck and beating one over the head with it!
The woman, whose name was not released, got her feathers ruffled when a large group tried to prevent her and others from staging the event, in which dozens of ducks are thrown into the Mediterranean and then caught and brought back to the shore by swimmers. The squawks of the protests really got one woman down, so she seized one duck by its legs and hit a middle-aged man several times before dropping the bird back into the water.
Though the ducks are not killed, Animal Rescue Espana has launched a campaign to ban the event because they suffer "stress, pain, fear and suffering."
