Dustin tells Billboard, "It's a big party crowd, and to get out on that stage and kick the tour off every night is so much fun, because of the energy that is in the room already. We get them fired up for Randy Houser and then Luke. It's been nothing but a good thing -- and everything we've dreamed of."
The tour stops in Albuquerque, New Mexico tonight and Denver on Saturday.
He tells the Chicago Tribune, "The thing that I love, especially after sound check, is when I'm in that stadium alone. It's complete silence. I love that. I love being able to say a quick thanks to the man above for the music and the fact that we're even in this spot. If you'd told me this in college when I was sitting on a stool and playing for enchiladas and tips, I'd have bet everything against it."
Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Chase Rice and Old Dominion will open Saturday's show.
Max is the story of troubled teen who befriends the military dog of his brother, who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The movie, starring Josh Wiggins, Lauren Graham and Thomas Haden Church, opens on June 26th.
Tae says the cover reflects their lifestyle. “The thing about us that really defines Maddie and I is we’re not those girls who want to spend a lot of time getting our hair done... We’d rather be out on a four-wheeler, playing guitar or just hanging out, having fun. That’s what the songs are made of. We thought the pictures should look like that, too -- and it’s harder and easier than you’d think.”
Maddie and Tae head out on tour with Dierks Bentley beginning on Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina.
