A Florida man who clearly needs a new hobby is recovering in the hospital after a poisonous snake he kissed did what poisonous snakes do and bit him -- on the lips.
Austin Hatfield loves snakes and his hobby is actually kissing them. He's a real hit at parties. Last week, when he went to lay a big smooch on a venomous viper, the snake said, "Oh no you don't" and sunk its fangs into his face. Even before Hatfield was able to rip the snake off, his face began to swell up. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities say Hatfield was keeping the snake illegally without a permit or a cage and may face charges. The snake, meanwhile, was euthanized.
