A Florida woman had no trouble identifying the guy who stole an expensive ring from her house last week -- because he tried to sell it back to her less than 24 hours later.
Clifton Tyler Johnson approached the woman outside a store in a strip mall and asked her if she wanted to buy some jewelry, then displayed a few items, including the ring, which she immediately recognized as hers. When the victim called him on it, Johnson handed her the piece and fled the scene.
The 19-year-old crook then went back to the street where that victim lived and broke into another residence, but ended up running into cops who had taken a statement from the ring lady. He was taken into custody and charged with several burglaries in the area.
