At San Diego Comic-Con a few months ago, Bryan Cranston told ABC Radio he was basically begging for a part in one of the new Star Wars movies.
"I know the two next directors of Star Wars and I'm just buttering them up like, you know, I'm available," he said at the time.
ABC Radio talked to Cranston again on Wednesday about his new movie, Trumbo, and admitted he's no closer to appearing in a Star Wars movie, saying it's not going "very well."
However, he didn't sound too despondent about it: "If it happens, it happens, and if it doesn't, OK, we'll move on."
Trumbo, which could get Cranston an Oscar nomination, opens in select theaters next weekend.

Daniel Tosh, A comedian who is best known for his Tosh.0 TV show just raised $25,000 to help pay for cancer treatments for his friend and fellow comic Andy Ritchie.. Normally we'd say way to go Daniel, good on you way to help out a pal.. But here is where things get interesting.. Daniel took that money raised and placed a $25,000 bet on the New England Patriots to cover the first half 3 point spread as they took on his beloved Miami Dolphins.. A BIG risk. But at half time the Patriots were leading by a score of 19-0, covering the spread and making Daniel Tosh the BEST friend this guy ever had.. Daniel turned the $25,000 into almost $46,000 in one half of football.
