A Pennsylvania man is cooling off in jail after a wild police chase in which he threw a refrigerator at cops who were pursuing him. Christopher Charles Boyer called 911 early Saturday morning and told the dispatcher he planned to wreck his truck somewhere on Interstate 70. She alerted deputies in the area where Boyer made the call and a car quickly got on his tail -- which prompted the trucker to pick up speed, then pick up loads of items from his cab to launch at the cruisers. He started small, firing his shoes, his socks and an aerosol can at the cops, but then really blew his cool by tossing the fridge out the window. A few minutes later, police up the road were able to put down spike strips and stop Boyer, charging him with aggravated assault, DUI, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment |
