A New Jersey man who ended a first date with a woman by stealing her car is finally behind bars.
Police say Gerald Tietz, a man in his 50s who went by a couple of different aliases, found his victim on dating site OKCupid and met for a first date on February 26th. The date eventually progressed to a rendezvous at the woman's house -- but ended quickly when Tietz swiped her car keys, ran out of her house and drove off in her car. He also managed to grab some jewelry on the way out.
Cops spent two weeks looking for him but couldn't find him because he used a different name. But they ultimately found the car parked about 15 miles away where they arrested him.
