44-year-old Scott Kemery was parked in a lot outside a supermarket when he decided to follow his friend's advice about getting rid of bedbugs inside the car. He soaked the car's interior in rubbing alcohol, which he expected to kill the blood-thirsty critters. But while he waited for the alcohol to do its job, he lit a cigarette -- in a car drenched in a highly volatile flammable liquid. The car, as anyone could have warned him, burst into flames. Kemery was lucky to escape with his life. He did, however suffer second-degree burns.

A Florida man got hauled off to jail after he tried to branch out in his love life -- by getting high on a synthetic drug and trying to get busy with a palm tree. Kenneth Crowder, who eventually told cops he was high on the newly trendy drug Flakka, disrobed and began running around the streets of a residential neighborhood in Melbourne, telling bystanders that he was God. Crowder became more and more agitated, and eventually started humping the trunk of the tree, continuing to claim he was the Man Upstairs. Witnesses didn't buy that explanation and called cops, who arrived on the scene and tried to subdue the 41-year-old, first with words, then with a Taser -- which shocked Crowder enough that he stopped claiming to be God, and began insisting he was Thor, the Norse God of Thunder. Eventually, he was taken into custody with no injuries to officers -- proving his bark was worse than his bite. Yes, that Dennis Quaid video was a prank. But no, it really had nothing to do with Jimmy Kimmel. After the supposed freak-out clip "leaked" on Jimmy's show a few days ago, many suspected that it was scripted and immediately blamed the late-night prankster. But today it was revealed to be a Funny or Die video. The full-length sketch was posted to the comedy site, and it reveals that everything Quaid said in the original viral clip was literally on the set. Famed Chicago chef and reality TV star Homaru Cantu was found dead yesterday of an apparent suicide. He was 38. According to police, Cantu was discovered hanging inside a Chicago building. Dina Lohan claims Michael owes her $16,000 in back child support and a judge has given him until April 24th to pay up or go straight to jail. Michael told the judge that a check is in the mail, but just to make sure he's telling the truth, the judge has confiscated Michael's passport and driver's license until he pays. Michael argues that he doesn't owe any back child support because he pays his kids directly. He insists he doesn't want to give the money to Dina because she spends it on herself. That may be true, but the judge doesn't care because he wants to see a check written to Dina right now. An Illinois man who thought he could strike it rich by robbing a suburban house ended up in the gutter -- when the homeowner clocked him with a bowling pin during the heist. Joshua Ziebarth was able to wrangle his way into the residence through an unlocked garage door in the wee hours of Sunday morning, but the commotion awoke the resident, who came downstairs to find the 19-year-old, who was armed with a knife. The intended victim was able to grab a souvenir bowling pin off a shelf and smash the intruder over the head, stunning him and opening a wound that required several stitches to close. We'd say that response shows the homeowner has a set of 16-pound...well...let's just say he has guts to spare. Dennis Quaid went absolutely berserk on the set of a movie ... calling his co-workers unprofessional zombies, and a few other choice adjectives -- or so it seems based on a video that surfaced on the Internet. The video starts with Quaid chewing out someone for walking on set while he's running a line -- "I can't even get a line out until dopey the d**k starts whispering in your ear, you're not even watching anymore." No one was spared his wrath as Dennis continued ... "This is the most unprofessional set I have ever been on. This is horse s**t!" It's unclear what movie he's shooting ... when this rant went down, or if it's even real. The video leaked online, but his reps haven't responded to our calls for comment yet. It's possible the whole thing is fake ... he's an actor, after all. Here is the video that is circulating thanks to TMZ - BE WARNED this contains language that is NOT SAFE FOR WORK, SMALL CHILDREN or those who are lactose intolerant (ok so the last one i made up, but seriously if strong language offends you, PLEASE do not watch this video) Actress Rita Wilson has breast cancer. The 58-year-old, who's long been married to Tom Hanks, tells People magazine that she's undergone a bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, and is expected to make a full recovery. She adds that she got the diagnosis only after getting a second opinion. Rita says that although an initial round of biopsies showed no cancer, "a friend who had had breast cancer suggested I get a second opinion on my pathology and my gut told me that was the thing to do. A different pathologist found invasive lobular carcinoma. His diagnosis of cancer was confirmed by, yet, another pathologist." Rita has taken a leave of absence from the Broadway play Fish in the Dark to recover. Looks like Halle Berry won't be flying solo anytime soon -- her hubby Olivier Martinez has avoided charges in an assault case at Los Angeles International Airport in January. Olivier, Halle and Halle's daughter Nahla were making their way through LAX when an airport employee decided to play paparazzo and started taking cell phone pics of the trio. Olivier was caught on video taking Nahla's empty car seat and ramming it into the guy, knocking him down. But according to TMZ, he won't face prosecution. Instead, he and the employee will attend an office hearing at the L.A. City Attorney's office. A source tells the gossip site that the likely outcome is a warning and some anger-management classes. The paparazzo who hit Ryan Reynolds and ran away has been caught. The actor was walking in an underground garage Friday when he got into a confrontation with a photographer. The man then hit Ryan with his car and fled the scene. The star, who was in Vancouver shooting the Deadpool movie, was unhurt. Police arrested the 52-year-old photog Monday and plan to charge him with intimidation. Ryan, who was born in Vancouver, was said to have had a sore knee and back, but returned to work the next day. Tori Spelling's Easter Sunday brunch turned into a disaster when the reality star burned herself on a hibachi grill and needed to be hospitalized. According to the Daily Mail, Tori tripped and fell onto a "scorching hot" grill as she was leaving the Benihana's Japanese Restaurant in Encino, California. An eyewitness says, "You could tell she was hurting, but she was trying to put on a brave face for the sake of her four young children who were quite obviously worried. [Her husband] Dean looked upset too, but you could tell they were doing their best to stay calm and not alarm the children." Tori reportedly tried nursing the "large burn on the back of her right arm" at home, but by the next day the pain sent her to the doctor -- who ended up removing the damaged skin and giving her a graft skin. A 13-year-old Ohio boy went crazy after his mother took away his cell phone, but he later learned what it's like to use a pay phone -- from a jail cell. The boy's mother took away his phone after he refused to clean his room, but she probably never expected such an extreme reaction. The kid spit on his mother, threw a Gatorade bottle at his stepfather and then destroyed the family car. Police say he smashed the windshield, dented the roof and caused at least $1000 in damages. The boy was arrested for assault and vandalism, and taken to juvenile detention. He can probably forget about getting an Apple Watch for his birthday now. Ryan Reynolds was reportedly hit by a car driven by a paparazzo in Vancouver, but was unhurt. The driver fled the scene and police are looking for him. Police announced yesterday that the actor, who is a Vancouver native, was walking in an underground garage when he was lightly struck by the car. Reynolds is in town filming his new movie Deadpool. According to the Wichita Eagle, the culprit had been drinking and wanted to get Jason’s attention to let him know his friends had just gotten engaged. The beer to the head definitely got Jason’s attention. He stopped singing while video of Kelly Clarkson continued. Jason then stared angrily in the crowd, pointed at the offender and slowly shook his head. The idiot was removed from the venue, and Jason’s tour managers declined to press charges. Later during a break, Jason admitted to the crowd, “It took everything I had not to go kick that guy’s teeth in.” Despite the beer to the head, Jason is all about fan interaction at his shows. He and Kenny Chesney have fun plans for fans on the upcoming Big Revival tour stadium shows, which start May 2nd in Santa Clara, California. He tells theTennessean, “My friends would tell me, 'One thing like this would put people on their backs’... ‘Two things like this…and are you OK?' And I'm like, 'I'm OK, I've got this.' Although I didn't." Kristian has a few summer festival dates lined up, most notably the Shaky Boots festival in Georgia on May 16th. To enter head to GoldRecordChallenge.net Thomas Rhett was in Nashville Thursday for a private party to celebrate his latest hit, “Make Me Wanna.” It’s the third number-one from his debut album, It Goes Like This. Artists are typically showered with commemorative plaques at number-one events. But right now, most of Thomas’s hardware is collecting dust in his garage. He jokes that his trophies and plaques don’t fit in with his wife Lauren’s beautiful home decorating.
